Surf Culture Australia

Surf Culture Australia is a Licensed Surfing Australia Surf school and forms an integral part of the worldwide network of licensed surf schools. We are also an Accredited Tourism Operator with the Department of Environment and Heritage, National Parks and The South Australian Tourism Commission.

Surf Culture Australia is South Australia's longest serving surf school and was established in 1991. It is a year round surf education service designed to help you achieve your objectives and experience the fun and exhilaration of surfing.

All Surf Culture Australia programs are a learning experience with topics such as rips, tides, weather patterns, sun and surf awareness and most importantly the correct procedure in learning the art of surfboard riding. As surfers we also value the importance of a pristine ocean environment and strongly encourage all participants to be ambassadors for a litter and pollution free ocean. In a drive to continue to strive to protect the environment, Surf Culture Australia are the first Australian surf school to achieve a Carbon Neutral Status with assistance from Balance Carbon.

Our Surfing Australia qualified coaches and instructors are skilled surfers who deliver quality coaching and professional surfing instruction and all possess a great enthusiasm for the sport and sharing their knowledge with others.

Surfing lessons are conducted on the Mid Coast (usually Southport or Moana) and the Victor Harbor region (usually Goolwa).

Once a month we take the Surf Culture Australia 12 seater bus, “GO SURFING”, on a weekend ‘Surfing Safari’.  The safari provides surfers of all levels of ability with a true surfing experience to the seclusion of Innes National Park at the southern tip of Yorke Peninsula (about three hours from Adelaide).  Transport, accommodation, meals, expert tuition and sightseeing to some of South Australia’s most amazing coastline are all included in the trip.

Surf Culture Australia is very proud of its status in the community and continues to be involved with the surfing community of South Australia.

Power Surfing of the Future

Welcome >>

Surf Culture have again been involved with AFL team Port Adelaide in their preparation for the 2009 season and beyond.  A dozen of the first year players took to the challenging surf at Goolwa Beach along with Coach Mark Williams and former player Stewy Cochrane.  The talent of this group was not restricted to the footy field with more than half of the boys having a number of successful rides.  Surf Culture Australia is proud to be involved with the future stars of the AFL.
