Surf Culture Australia has maintained relationships with a number of Adelaide’s leading private and public schools since 1991. Tailored perfectly to suit each school groups needs these programs can be as simple as a one off come and try day or as in depth as a 20 hour SACE program. The program is generally run from Moana beach, about 40 minutes south of Adelaide, but programs are also available at Goolwa, Southern Yorke Peninsula and the South East.

Our introductory two hour classes are the most popular of our programs and give participants an immediate feel of the thrill of surfing. After a look at the given conditions on the day and a chat about surf and sun safety we head to the sand for a warm up and stretch. We will then go through the correct techniques for handling a surfboard and negotiating the surf. We then practice the prone to feet action or ‘pop’ on the beach before heading into the waves for some surfing fun.

Throughout the class you will be given constant feedback and supervision giving you the best chance of achieving your surfing goals.

If it’s a Camp you’re looking at we can put you in touch with accommodation providers adjacent to our surfing locations.

On top of the pure surfing experience we can also focus on the Environment, Storm Water, How Waves Work, Industry Opportunities or even the Fitness Components involved from a physical education point of view. A number of schools currently involved run surfing as part of their Outdoor Education programs.

If required we can put you in touch with the coordinators at a number of our currently participating schools should you require feedback.

Price from $20 per surfer per two hour session.
