Beginner Class

Our introductory two hour classes are the most popular of our programs and give participants an immediate feel of the thrill of surfing. After a look at the given conditions on the day and a chat about surf and sun safety we head to the sand for a warm up and stretch.

We will then go through the correct techniques for handling a surfboard and negotiating the surf. We then practice the prone to feet action or ‘pop’ on the beach before heading into the waves for some surfing fun.

Throughout the class you will be given constant feedback and supervision giving you the best chance of achieving your surfing goals.

Price $40 per two hour class, $120 for 4 visits, $160 for 8 visits.

Intermediate Class

Generally conducted in conjunction with our beginner groups intermediate tuition looks at taking the next step in your surfing. Topics will include tides and weather patterns, trimming and turning your surfboard with the aim of progressing to a fibre glass board. Fibre glass surfboards from Cutloose are available for you to try before purchasing your own equipment.
