Surfing Safari

The Surf Culture Australia “Go Surfing” bus will be heading off to the southern tip of Yorke Peninsula at various times over the coming months for our three day surfing safari’s. The camps are run each month depending on demand.

All levels of ability are catered for and the cost of $280 per surfer includes: travel (in our 12 seat bus, “GO SURFING”), accommodation (a house/cabin in Corny Point or Marion Bay), food, board and wetsuit hire as well as expert qualified tuition.

Surf on Yorke Peninsula varies from gentle beach breaks to serious heavy reef breaks. The water is always clean and due to its isolation it is rare to have other surfers around. There is also the opportunity for sightseeing to some of South Australia’s most spectacular coastline including Ethel’s Wreck, Berry Bay, Gleeson’s Landing and Chinaman’s Hat. On top of all this there is a great likelihood of getting up close and personal with the local wildlife including kangaroos, native birds and lizards and even spending time in the surf with dolphins.

Surfers need to bring sleeping gear, toiletries, warm and preferrably waterproof clothing, sun smart beach attire, a bottle for water, a spare towel, any required medication and most importantly a keen sense of adventure.  We have also found that a good backpack for our surfing treks makes the walk a little easier.

We have catered for small groups of friends, exchange students, and backpackers. Great for a boys / girls weekend getaway or for an adventurous birthday party.

Price: $280 per person (minimum of 6 surfers required)
